Slinkachu
- Slinkachu's 'little people project' started in 2006. It involves miniature models and various kinds of props. Slinkachu used big cities as their scenes and to make people known about their surroundings. The scenes he sets up are more evident through the photography but, there is humor.
My opinion on Slinkachu's photographs
This is my favourite photograph for 3 interesting reasons:
1. The theme is clear and easy to understand, the image is portraying how there is competition between the figures over who can claim the £10 note, this is done in a very entertaining way which catches the eye of the viewers.
2. I like the way the focus point is aimed on the picture, the focus point shows that the figures are fighting over the £10 note and is made clearer by the use of the focus point. The picture is in focus and the background is partly blurry so that it has an effect on the picture.
3. It has a small depth of field which is needed to take slinkachu pictures. It also has a small aperture and it has the right exposure. It is bright which suits the situation as they are fighting over the £10 note in the middle of the road which suggests the residents are watching the action.
Akiko Ida and Pierre Javelle
Akiko Ida and Pierre Javelle combine photography, magical landscapes, culinary backdrops, and portraiture to create settings inhabited by diminutive characters, referred to as minimum. Each picture reveals to the viewer a whimsical land that plays with our minds, as well as the subject.
The team met at Arts Decoratifs de Paris where they studied photography. Akiko, Japanese, has always been attracted to the world of gastronomy. As a child, she invented tiny characters that populated her journal. She is a renowned food photographer. Akiko has participated in more than 30 cookbooks and her work is published in international magazines. Pierre, French, grew up on comics. He has been published in major gourmet magazines and his still-like photographs appear in corporate commercials.
This fine art collaboration begun in 2002 and is ongoing. There are over 30 works in the series at present.

Powerful composition, The way food is represented and is shown to be set in Egypt, I like the way the pineapple chunks make up the pyramids and are placed on camels backs (represents belongings), the Interior skin of the pineapple represents the sand.
Joe Lurato
Joe Iurato is a multidisciplinary artist whose works are built on a foundation of stencils and aerosol. Falling somewhere in between simplistic and photorealistic, his multi-layer stencils offer a distinctly clean and illustrative aesthetic. While Iurato’s murals have adorned neighborhoods along the east coast United States for years, he’s more recently become noted for the unique placement and photography of miniature painted wood cutouts in public spaces. Utilizing the outdoor environment to create site-specific installations, Iurato creates windows into a narrative formed by personal experiences. Each individual work of art highlights the potential for interaction and storytelling within public space and transforms common land/cityscapes into carefully crafted scenes. Before leaving each installation behind, he documents it with a photograph. The photographs offer specific and intentional viewpoints of the artwork in relation to its surroundings, manipulating our perception of scale and dimensionality.
He’s also established himself as a commercial artist, with a list of clients that include: Adidas, Mike Tyson’s Iron Mike Productions, The New York Racing Association, Nike’s House of Hoops, ESPN, the NBA, NBC’s Sunday Night Football, Sprite, USA Network, and Nickelodeon.

My plan for this shoot is to capture the scene from a murder investigation, with a dead body on the floor, a cameraman and a reporter.

My work influenced by Slinkachu
1st shoot
Best photograph
Worst photograph
It's a bad photo because it's out of focus and the photograph is not clear, the figures are unrecognisable.
I think this photograph is my best from the shoot because it shows the people being interviewed and you can see that there are dead bodies in the background. Even though the white balance is not accurate the understanding of the image is clear.
2nd Shoot
Worst photograph.
I don't like this picture because I can see the blue tack on the figures foot. The lighting has made the image look blue and this is not the effect I wanted to create.
Best photograph
